Cristiano Ronaldo Hits 969th Goal in Al-Nassr’s 4-0 Win

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 969th career goal as Al-Nassr secured a 4-0 victory over Al-Wasl in the AFC Champions League Two quarter-finals, advancing to the semi-finals.

Al-Nassr dominated from the outset, combining attacking precision with midfield control. Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 11th minute, calmly converting from close range inside the box.

The team extended their lead with two rapid goals before half-time. João Felix provided a corner which Inigo Martinez headed in to double the advantage. Shortly after, a further delivery caused confusion in the Al-Wasl defence, allowing Abdulelah Al-Amri to rise highest and score the third goal.

Al-Wasl struggled to penetrate the organised Al-Nassr defence, with only limited attempts that failed to seriously challenge goalkeeper Bento. Meanwhile, Al-Nassr continued creating opportunities, with Ronaldo nearly scoring again before being substituted after 60 minutes.

In the second half, Al-Nassr maintained control, dominating possession and tempo through Marcelo Brozovic’s midfield presence. Al-Wasl remained largely confined to their half for long periods.

The victory was completed in the 80th minute when Sadio Mane finished from a tight angle after receiving a through ball.

The win emphasised Al-Nassr’s strength in the competition and showcased Ronaldo’s ongoing impact as he advances towards the 1000-goal milestone.
