Tollywood’s latest comedy drama Funky, featuring Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar in the lead roles, hit the screens today. The movie, directed by KV Anudeep of Jathi Ratnalu fame, is produced by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments. The film opened to negative-to-mixed reviews from critics, with the majority feeling that the film lacks a proper flow in the proceedings.
The team has now interacted with the media, and Naga Vamsi reacted to the reviews. He said, “After the shows completed in the USA, the movie was slammed for scenes lacking a flow. It was also said that the story is designed around some random moments. I myself told these things prior to the release, and some are acting like scientists by mentioning them again.”
“I am referring to the talk on Twitter. I never said I made a wonderful film like Sagara Sangamam. I just made a silly comedy in the typical Anudeep style. I know reviewers won’t like the film. We know the movie doesn’t have grammar. Even the regular public is saying the editing is patchy, but it was an intentional move. We didn’t make the film with a proper flow. Come for entertainment, you will be entertained,” said Naga Vamsi.
