Filming for ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ in South Mumbai was abruptly halted after an FIR was filed against the location manager for unauthorized drone usage in a protected area. Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal were reportedly on set when police intervened. The sequel, continuing the fight against a Pakistani crime force, is slated for a March 19, 2026 release.

‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has been creating a lot of buzz ahead of its release. The production for the film has been going on for quite some time now; however, as per the latest reports, the shoot was halted all of a sudden by an order issued by the police. An FIR was also filed against the location manager as well.

While the film’s official title and teaser poster have only been released recently, leaked images and footage from the film’s set had already been making the rounds online. Showing Sanjay Datt and Arjun Rampal were filmed shooting for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ in South Mumbai’s Ballard Estate. As per reports from Mumbai Mirror, however, the shoot was altogether halted two days ago.

An FIR was filed against location manager Rinku Rajpal Valmiki for unauthorized usage of drones in a protected area. The FIR was filed under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). It was cited in the report that the fort where the drones were being used for filming is considered to be a high-security space. Specialized permission is required from the authorities in order to use and film using drones in the area. Zonal DCP Pravin Mundhe also confirmed that the FIR was filed because the crew and team only took permission for shooting on land, while separate requests needed to be made in order to use drones.

In the leaked photos and videos from the sets of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, Sanjay Dutt was seen wearing an all-white pathani suit while holding a gun in hand. The footage showed him filming a scene, which was stopped all of a sudden after police personnel arrived at the scene to stop the shoot.

The second part of the installment will pick up right where the first film left off, with Hamza Ali Mazari continuing on his path to dismantle the Pakistani crime force. This time around, the main focus is kept on the crime lord known as Major Iqbal, who is played by Arjun Rampal. The film is all set for its theatre release on March 19, 2026.
