Varanasi is one of the costliest projects currently taking shape in Indian cinema. Headlined by Mahesh Babu and directed by SS Rajamouli, the globetrotting film was officially announced for a 2027 release.
However, rumours are circulating on social media claiming that Varanasi is postponed and will not arrive in 2027. To put an end to the speculation, the makers stepped in and released a clip from the announcement teaser, reaffirming that the film is progressing as planned with no change in its release schedule.
The film is locked for release on April 9, 2027, a date that we were the first to reveal. Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Prakash Raj, and others are portraying crucial roles in this massive project, which is reportedly being made on a budget exceeding Rs. 1300 crore. MM Keeravaani is composing the music for this mega film, produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya.
