The film garnered a fairly well earning on Friday. The weekend rush is predicted to bring in a lot more earnings for the new comedy film.
As per the reports, the film scored a Hindi occupancy of 9.57%, with evening and night shows having the highest footfall. The film garnered the most audience in Chennai, which was followed closely by Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Plot of ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’
Starring Vir Das in the lead role, ‘Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos’ is about a clumsy but enthusiastic spy who is tasked with a never-before-done mission. The son of two gay British secret agents, Happy Patel wanted to follow in his parents’ footsteps. This prompts him to join MI7, though he ends up failing. As an agent, he is then assigned to go to Goa to rescue and retrieve a white woman who has been kept captive in a fairness cream-making factory. The journey prompts him to come face-to-face with his demons and learn more about his Indian origin. Other than the famed comedian, the film also stars Mithila Palkar, Mona Singh, Sharib Hashmi, and Srushti Tawade. The film has also been written by Vir Das, and it also marks his directorial debut in the entertainment industry.
