In an interaction with Lallantop, Arshad Warsi offered an honest assessment of Akshaye’s personality and work ethic. He described Akshaye as an intensely focused individual who has always taken his craft seriously. Arshad noted that Akshaye’s acting talent was never in question and has remained consistent throughout his career.
According to him, Akshaye prefers to operate within his own personal space, remains largely indifferent to outside opinions, and chooses to live life entirely on his own terms. Arshad further pointed out that unlike most actors, Akshaye has never relied on public relations machinery and has maintained this low-profile approach since the very beginning of his journey in cinema.
“Akshaye is a very serious guy. He has been a brilliant actor since before; there was no doubt about that, but he likes to stay in his own world. He doesn’t care about anybody. He lives his life on his terms and doesn’t get bothered by who thinks what about him..” he said.
The year 2025 has proven to be professionally rewarding for both actors. While Akshaye continues to receive acclaim for his intense performance in Dhurandhar, Arshad Warsi also enjoyed a successful run earlier this year for his role as Gafoor in The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, which was widely appreciated. However, Akshaye also found himself in the spotlight for less celebratory reasons over the weekend. Reports emerged confirming his exit from Drishyam 3, a decision that reportedly led to legal complications.
Producer Kumar Mangat Pathak addressed the issue while speaking to Bollywood Hungama, expressing strong displeasure over Akshaye’s conduct. He stated that the actor’s actions had caused financial setbacks and confirmed that a legal notice had already been issued, to which Akshaye is yet to respond.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar continues its remarkable box-office run. According to figures shared by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has crossed the Rs 700 crore mark in India, further cementing Akshaye Khanna’s triumphant return to the forefront of Hindi cinema.
On the work front, Arshad Warsi will next be seen in four films – Dhamaal 4, Welcome To The Jungle and King (which also stars Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana in the lead).
