Perfect Crown unveils special teaser.
Set against the backdrop of a 21st-century constitutional monarchy of the Republic of Korea, Perfect Crown follows Seong Hee Joo (IU), a chaebol heiress who has everything except a royal status, and Prince Yi An (Byeon Woo Seok), the king’s son who, despite being a royal, is deprived of everything, as they set out on a journey to carve their destinies, defying their social statuses that confine them.
Meanwhile, the special teaser draws attention by capturing Seong Hee Hoo’s fearless pursuit to become a royal. As the second child of a chaebol family, Seong Hee Joo possesses immense wealth and capability and always carries herself with confidence, but due to her status — being a commoner — she is sometimes looked down upon by others.
Prince Yi An’s existence — the king’s son who could not become king — poses a threat to the reigning monarch. Amid the pressure from Queen Dowager Yoon Yi Rang (Gong Seung Yeon), who is determined to protect her young son, he is being pressed to go through with a marriage.
Seong Hee Joo comes to Prince Yi An to achieve a rise in status through marriage. Her efforts seem to bear fruit, as at last, Prince Yi An issues the command, “Prepare to become the Prince’s wife,” marking the beginning of a story set to throw K-dramaland into a stir.
Perfect Crown will release on Disney+ in 2026.
