Gong Myung had to stop filming abruptly after being hospitalized.
On December 30, media outlets reported that Gong Myung had to stop filming his upcoming K-drama after experiencing dizziness that led to sudden hearing loss. He was rushed to the hospital, where it was revealed that he had suffered from sensorineural hearing loss.
Because of this, filming for the upcoming K-drama Secret Gratitude, in which Gong Myung plays the lead role, was officially postponed for the day. According to reports, filming for the K-drama is set to resume on January 2.
Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SSHL) involves an unexplained, rapid decrease in hearing ability. This condition can occur spontaneously or progress over 72 hours and is often associated with symptoms like vertigo or persistent ear ringing.
Gong Myung’s agency, Saram Entertainment, then confirmed the reports and stated, “Gong Myung is currently hospitalized due to dizziness and is receiving proper care and treatment while recovering. He is expected to resume filming within the week.”

The actor will also lead the upcoming K-drama Your Ground with Han Hyo Joo. The series will premiere on MBC in 2026 as well.
He will also star in the upcoming movie Husbands in Action with Jin Seon Kyu, Kim Ji Suk, Yoon Kyung Ho, Kang Han Na, Lee Da Hee, and more.
