A secret Avengers: Doomsday trailer appears to be on the way. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally showing what its next Avengers movie is all about. While the core story of Avengers: Doomsday remains a mystery, Marvel is slowly releasing teasers for the huge 2026 MCU release in theaters ahead of showings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, a box office behemoth.
The first Avengers: Doomsday trailer focused on Steve Rogers, showing Chris Evans’ MCU return, which included the reveal that Steve and Peggy Carter had a baby. Then, the second Doomsday teaser featured Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and his adoptive daughter, Love. Two more teasers were reported to be on the way, though that does not seem to be the end of the line anymore.
Today, December 30th, the Korea Media Rating Board has rated a fifth Avengers: Doomsday trailer that had not been reported before. Marvel Studios has released two character-centric Avengers: Doomsday teasers so far, and at 1 minute 5 seconds, the secret fifth Avengers: Doomsday trailer appears to fall in line with that, rather than being a full teaser uniting all the teams that will show up in the 2026 MCU movie.
Marvel has yet to acknowledge the fifth Avengers: Doomsday trailer, which was not part of the original reports for the movie’s exciting marketing campaign. However, if the MCU is coming up with a fifth teaser to end the weekly event, there is a good chance that it could all end with the first look at Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.
Alternatively, a teaser that spotlights the Thunderbolts, now called the New Avengers, and Sam Wilson’s Avengers team, would also make sense. Recently, in early December, Captain America’s Avengers team for Doomsday was seemingly revealed at a Disney event in Italy. Sam would be joined by Thor, Loki, Shang-Chi, Falcon, and Ant-Man when he returns in Avengers: Doomsday.
That said, the team does not include characters like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, the Hulk, Hawkeye, and more players who could make sense for a new Avengers team. As such, it remains to be seen whether that Avengers lineup is accurate, something that the secret fifth Avengers: Doomsday teaser could confirm.
In terms of when MCU fans should expect the surprise Avengers: Doomsday trailer, the wait should not be long. Taking the weekly release format with Avatar: Fire and Ash in theaters, the two remaining reported trailers will be done playing in the following weeks. The secret Avengers: Doomsday trailer will likely play in theaters the week of January 12th to January 18th.
