Mumbai, December 19 – Director Aditya Dhar’s spy action thriller Dhurandhar has completed its two weeks of theatrical run in IMAX on December 18, before James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire & Ash has taken all the IMAX screens in India and worldwide.
Starring Ranveer Singh, Dhurandhar has had a blockbuster run in IMAX screens across India. In its two-week window (14 days), the film scored approximately 16.50 crores gross, making it one of the highest-grossing films in IMAX in India.
Reportedly, Dhurandhar is the highest-grossing Indian film in IMAX in India, beating Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2, which minted approximately 15.50 crores domestically. The success of Dhurandhar in the premium format isn’t a surprise, as it is a kind of film which has a big screen appeal.
Dhurandhar is having a dream run at the box office, already grossing over 550 crores in India and 700+ crores worldwide in just 15 days. The movie is heading towards breaching the 1000 crores milestone, and is very much certain to achieve the feat with the long Christmas and New Year holidays in sight.
