Director Aditya Dhar has urged audiences not to share spoilers of Dhurandhar 2 as the film premieres today with a worldwide release tomorrow. In his latest post, he requested fans to walk into the theatre clueless but curious and walk out with a deeply personal version of what they felt. He thanked everyone for the tremendous response to the first part of the film and said he trusts them with Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Interestingly, he also prompted the viewers not to leave their seats until the credits stop rolling.
Strong audience response to the first film
Dhar said that while he and his team poured their heart and soul into both parts, they realised the film no longer belonged to them. In an emotional note to the audience, he expressed gratitude for the way people embraced it and made it their own with so much love and support.
A statement shared by Aditya on social media read, “To my dearest, most extraordinary Dhurandhar family, 5th December 2025, Dhurandhar released in cinemas worldwide. And since then, you didn’t just watch our film. You loved it. You lived it. You appreciated every quiet detail, debated every moment, rewatched it and noticed things i never even thought anyone would (sic).”
He talked about the film’s journey from his edit table to becoming the audience’s, “then the nation’s, and now the world’s.” Dhar called it the most humbling and moving gift a filmmaker can receive.

Focus on delivering an unexpected sequel
“So when we sat down to make Dhurandhar: The Revenge, we knew one thing with absolute certainty: We had to surprise you (sic),” he wrote, adding that they had to make the audience feel emotions they weren’t prepared for — deeply, honestly — and that’s never easy.
He added that that’s how films should be experienced and not on “someone’s phone in a blurry image”. Dhar concluded the statement by saying, “Now I’m trusting you to protect what this becomes. With all my love and gratitude. Bharat Mata Ki Jai (sic).”
At the end of the caption of his post, accompanying the statement, the filmmaker added, “Oh, and one more thing. Don’t leave your seats until the credits have stopped rolling (sic).”
Multi-language release on festive weekend
Dhurandhar: The Revenge releases worldwide on March 19, on Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid. It will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and others.
