Raphinha nets brace as Barcelona beat Real Madrid to lift Supercopa – as it happened

Barcelona have beaten Real Madrid 3-2 to secure a second consecutive Supercopa and the first piece of silverware of the season.

The match lived up to its billing in a hugely entertaining first half that ended 2-2, with three goals scored in injury time.

In the second half, Raphinha struck the crucial blow as a deflected effort looped past Thibaut Courtois and into the Madrid net.

Barcelona survived a late red card for Frenkie De Jong, the introduction of Kylian Mbappé and a flurry of late chances to secure the trophy.

In the first half, Raphinha put Barcelona ahead in the 36th minute with a neat finish on his left foot before his Brazilian compatriot Vinícius Júnior levelled things with a stunning solo goal.

Robert Lewandowski restored Barça’s lead two minutes later before Gonzalo García equalised at the stroke of half-time.
