USA have charged out of the blocks after electing to bat first against Namibia in Chennai. With captain Monank Patel and Shayan Jahangir leading the way, USA have plundered 65/0 in powerplay, with the help of four fours and four sixes.
Patel also became the first US batter to notch 1000 runs in T20Is during his half-century. USA are 89/1 at the half-way mark. Willem Myburgh gave Namibia the breakthrough, as he had Jahangir miscue to mid-on.
