They subsequently beat the UP Warriorz, but then lost to RCB.

‘We need to discuss this because we’ve been making a lot of mistakes’: MI skipper Harmanpreet Kaur rues missed chances vs UP Warriorz

With defending champions Mumbai Indians losing their second match on the bounce, both incidentally to the same opponent, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur rued the missed chances in the match against UP Warriorz on Saturday. She also stressed that the team needed to a more positive mindset during the powerplay.

“We wanted to chase as a group. And I think even though we didn’t bowl well, we were still able to restrict them to less than 200 runs, which was a good thing. But I think in batting, we were not great in the powerplay. Every game, we are not coming up with a positive mindset in the powerplay. That’s something we really need to work on in the batting powerplay,” she said after the match.
