Vijay’s Jana Nayagan 5-min clip, including intro scene leaked, fans demand action

A five-minute clip from Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, Jana Nayagan, has been leaked on social media, according to unconfirmed reports. The clip consists of title credits and Vijay’s introduction scene.

The leaked clip is being shared on multiple platforms, much to the shock of everyone. Fans have been tagging the production house, KVN Productions, urging them to take action against those who leaked the video and those who are sharing it. The video could have possibly been leaked from the edit table. Towards the end of the clip, a man can be seen pausing the video, according to unconfirmed reports.

The Jana Nayagan team is now reportedly taking swift action, having begun taking down the leaked video from X.

Vijay’s fans are hinting at a conspiracy behind the leak. They have also urged everyone to refrain from sharing the video, warning that doing so could result in severe legal action.

Here are some reactions:

The film, which was supposed to release in theatres on January 9, was postponed after the Central Board of Film Certification withheld the certificate, flagging certain scenes as potentially hurtful to public sentiment. After a month-long legal standoff with the CBFC, the makers of Jana Nayagan agreed to send the film to the revising committee.

Jana Nayagan is Vijay’s last film before he becomes a full-time politician. The film has been facing issues with the CBFC since January. Even as it remains with the revising committee, there is no clarity on whether it has been certified. It was reported that a screening was cancelled after a member of the committee fell ill.

It is being reported that the film has chances of being cleared only after the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections are over. One of the reasons for the delay is Vijay contesting in the elections for his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

Produced by KVN Productions on a massive budget of Rs 500 crore, Jana Nayagan features Thalapathy Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Gautham Menon, Prakash Raj, and Priyamani.
