Tharun Bhascker’s much-loved buddy comedy Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi is set to arrive with its sequel titled ENE Repeat. In an interview, producer Srujan Yarabolu stated that the second installment will feature extensive VFX and many surprises. Sushanth who played Karthik in the first film won’t be part of ENE Repeat.

Responding to the same Tharun Bhascker said, “The first time I heard that Sushanth couldn’t be part of the project due to personal reasons, it broke me. I needed time to step back, re-analyse the script, and ask myself if it would ever feel the same again. That’s when it dawned on me—these characters are all around me. The ENE world is inspired by my own friendships, and that authenticity is its foundation.”

He added, “ENE 2 doesn’t come from a place of trying to milk a cash cow. If that were the intention, I could’ve done it ages ago. This film happened because the story came to me organically, at the right time. Sushanth might not be part of this journey with us, but Karthik is.”

It remains to be seen who will replace Sushanth as Karthik. Vishwak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam, and Venkatesh Kakumanu are all set to reprise their roles. The film is being co-produced by Suresh Productions. Vivek Sagar is the music composer. The movie will hit the big screens in the second half of 2026.
