After the memorable success of Lucky Baskhar, director Venky Atluri joined hands with Kollywood actor Suriya for a romantic drama tentatively titled Suriya46. Buzz in film circles suggests that the makers are considering the title Vishwanathan and Sons. Naga Vamsi is bankrolling the project.
Mamitha Baiju plays the female lead. During the press meet of Vishwak Sen’s Funky, Naga Vamsi revealed that Suriya46 will hit the big screens three to four months after the release of Suriya’s Karuppu. The team wants to maintain a sufficient gap between the actor’s two releases. Karuppu is likely to be released in April 2026 and we can expect Suriya46 to grace cinemas either in July or August.
The shoot is currently in its final stage, with only five working days left to wrap up. The film explores a love story between individuals with a significant age gap. Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon play key roles. G. V. Prakash Kumar is composing the music.
