Veteran actress Rekha stole the spotlight at a special screening of ‘Ikkis’ after heartwarming reaction to the film’s poster, while walking the red carpet. The actress, who arrived for the special screening late last evening, was seen admiring the movie’s poster, featuring the leading man, Agastya Nanda and the late Dharmendra.

In a clip that has since gone viral on social media, Rekha was seen showing her affection towards Agastya, the grandson Amitabh Bachchan. The actress was seen kissing the young actor’s poster and pausing to admire it.

Another moment from the screening that went viral online, showed Rekha bowing respectfully before a poster of late actor Dharmendra displayed at the venue. The actress was also seen posing before the poster for photos.

Also seen at the screening, was actor Salman Khan, who was seen getting emotional as he admired Dharmendra’s poster.

Besides receiving love and support from Bollywood stars, Agastya’s grandfather, Amitabh also took to his blog to share his pride in a heartfelt note. “Emotions flow.. As do they tonight when you witness the grandson excel in IKKIS ..” he wrote and went on to add, “and tonight to see him in frame, unable to take my eyes off each time he fills the frames of the film.”Hailing Agastya’s performance in the film, he said, “When he is in the frame you only watch him .. and this is not a grandfather speaking, this is a hardened viewer of cinema.. And the film flawless in its presentation.. its writing.. its Direction..And when it ends .. the eyes filled with tears of joy and pride.. unable to speak out.. In silence. The silence that belongs to me.. my understanding.. no other.”

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Ikkis’ is a war biopic based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra.The film that also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, and Rahul Dev, will release on January 1, 2026.
