Megastar Chiranjeevi has started unleashing his madness at the box office even before the Sankranthi festival season. The movie opened to solid numbers from paid premieres, and from this afternoon, it has taken over the Telugu states.
The situation is the same in North America too, as Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu became the highest premiere grosser for Chiranjeevi with over $1.5 million, overtaking his previous best, Khaidi No. 150.
Here’s what makes the record jaw-dropping: the premiere show gross of Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is higher than PAN-India star Prabhas’ recent outing The Raja Saab ($1.4 million). Sarigama Cinemas handled the distribution for Megastar’s film in North America.
Megastar is stamping his box office authority even in his 70s, challenging this generation’s top-tier heroes. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the family entertainer stars Nayanthara as the female lead. Victory Venkatesh played a cameo. Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela produced the movie, while Bheems Ceciroleo composed the music.
