Heated Rivalry actor Hudson Williams’ upcoming drama series
After Heated Rivalry, Hudson Williams is reuniting with Crave, the Canadian streamer, for their upcoming drama titled Yaga. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Yaga is an 8-episode mystery thriller series based on the hit play by Kat Sandler — also the show’s writer and showrunner — and is a contemporary reimagining of the myth of Baba Yaga, from a wicked witch to an incendiary feminist antihero for our time. Williams stars alongside Carrie-Anne Moss, Noah Reid and Clark Backo in the TV show, which is currently in production.
According to the official synopsis, Yaga follows Rapp (Noah Reid), a private investigator who arrives in a small coastal town to investigate the mysterious disappearance of Henry Park (Hudson Williams), a young heir to a powerful fishery. Rapp finds himself at odds with Carson (Clark Backo), a neurotic local detective, Katherine (Carrie-Anne Moss), a charming university professor with an affinity for younger men, and a “labyrinth of enigmatic suspects, secret lives and ancient magic.” Sandler teased Yaga as a reflection of “the kind of storytelling I love: propulsive, accessible, dark, funny and unapologetically bold.”
