Mumbai, December 20 – Ranveer Singh-fronted spy actioner continues to extend its record-breaking spree, which began after the first week. The Aditya Dhar’s directorial, after blasting the record second week by a long margin, carried the momentum into the third weekend to break more records.
The film kicked off its third weekend with a record Friday of 22.50 crores net, almost 70% more than the previous record holder, Chhaava. On the third Saturday, Dhurandhar recorded an unheard +50% jump over Friday, collecting approximately 34.25 crores net, which is another record third Saturday collection.
The extremely positive word of mouth was always going to fuel more fire on Sunday with another growth. According to early trends, Dhurandhar scored 38-40 crores net on the third Sunday, finishing the third weekend with almost 100 crores net, at around 95 crores net, which is a record for any film in Hindi.
In fact, the third weekend collection of Dhurandhar is higher than the entire third week collection of all movies but Pushpa 2: The Rule’s 103 crores net. With momentum, which continues to grow, Dhurandhar will most likely outgross Pushpa 2’s entire third week’s total by Monday itself.
Dhurandhar has topped 550 crores net through the third weekend, scoring 555 crores net. It is currently the second biggest Hindi net grosser of the year, and will take the number 1 spot by the third Tuesday by beating Chhaava’s 585 crores domestic haul in Hindi.
