China has issued guidance for promoting its ecommerce sector that aims to balance domestic ‌development ⁠with ⁠the international situation, its commerce ministry said in a joint statement with other departments.

The guidance called ⁠for striking ‌a balance between promotion and regulation, ⁠integrating the digital and real economies, as well as forming pilot zones for cross-border ecommerce activities and setting up ‌rules and standards.

The guidance was jointly from ⁠the cyberspace and market regulators as well as the ministries of industry, agriculture and tourism.
