Vennre raises $9.6m to expand private market access in MENA

Vennre, a MENA-based wealth creation platform focused on high earners, has raised $9.6 million in a Pre-Series A round structured as a hybrid of equity and debt, as it seeks to broaden retail access to private market investments across the region.

The round was co-led by Vision Ventures and anb seed Fund, with participation from Sanabil 500, Ace & Co, Plus VC, and a group of strategic individual investors spanning private banking, technology and entrepreneurship.

Founded by Ziad Mabsout, Anas Halabi and Abdulrahman AlMalik, Vennre targets the so-called HENRY segment—“High Earners, Not Rich Yet”—a cohort of professionals with significant income but limited access to institutional-grade private investments. The platform provides curated opportunities across asset classes, including real estate, private equity, venture capital and private credit, with a focus on Shariah-compliant structures.

The funding comes as private markets continue to expand globally, managing more than $14 trillion in assets, while individual investors account for less than 5% of that exposure. Vennre positions itself as addressing this imbalance by enabling high-income retail investors in Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region to participate in opportunities traditionally reserved for institutions and ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

The company said it has surpassed $40 million in transaction value on its platform, signalling early market traction. It also announced the appointment of Dr Ibrahim AlMojel as Chairman of its Saudi board, strengthening its governance structure as it deepens its presence in the Kingdom.

Ziad Mabsout, CEO and co-founder of Vennre, described “The funding as validation of demand within an underserved segment. A generation of ambitious professionals across the region has earned success but has not been given the tools required to compound it. We are building for long-term wealth creation, not one-off transactions, starting with curated and vetted private investment opportunities and expanding into a full wealth journey.”

Khalid S. Alghamdi, CEO of Anb Capital, said, “The investment aligns with broader capital market development goals. Private markets globally already manage more than $14 trillion in assets, yet individual investors account for less than 5% of that exposure,” he noted. “Vennre directly addresses this imbalance by offering Shariah-compliant access to a segment long excluded from these opportunities.”

Vennre plans to use the new capital to expand its client base, introduce additional platform features and further scale operations in Saudi Arabia, as regulatory liberalisation and FinTech adoption continue to reshape the region’s investment landscape.
